This photo was taken the day that Garland Bandit went from
winning Group One at a Borzoi supported entry all-breed show to
the coursing
field where he was awarded Best in Field by Lyle
Gillette (of Rancho Gabriel Borzoi, the grandfather of lure
coursing in the United States) all in one day. This was at a time when it was
common knowledge "that Borzoi are not capable of the double
suspension gallop".
Ggarland Bandit started his show career with a bang. At his
first three matches on two consecutive weekends, he was Best
in Match all three times, defeating over 1000 dogs by a year
of age. He was a Group One winner from the classes. He was one
of the best smilers that we ever produced, carrying on the
legacy of his wonderful Dutch-import father.
Ggarland Bandit sired five litters including:
our "Kk" litter out of his illustrious mother that included
Ch. Kristull Kkrugerrand, Kristull Kkupala of Weerob (CKC
pointed), Kristull Kkismet of Rhapsody (AKC pointed) and Kristull
Kkishadow of Valhalla (AKC & ASFA pointed).
our "Ll" litter out of Kristull Ddesertina Fld. Ch. co-bred
with Kanne Kilbourn which
contained Ch. Kristull Llively Go Grendle (ASFA pointed), Ch.
Kristull Lluminary Kilkan CD (FCI & Mex pointed), a Group One
winner from the classes.
a litter for Vicki Horton, out of Ch. Kilkan OD Thundersong
Tobiah which included Ch. Tobiah's Bolt of Lightning Fld. Ch. and
Ch. Tobiah's Katrina.
a litter for Anne Dragoo out of Windswept Arpege of Keshari that
included Ch. Keshari's Autumn Fire
a litter for the Czar's Own Kennel which contained
the owner handled Best in Show winner, Int. Amer. Mex. Ch.
Chataqua's Vladamir Bolshoi
